About Us

Swasti-sukham’ is a sanskrit word meaning welfare and happiness. Women are the backbone of the society. Since the vedic age India has remained the cradle of enlightened and empowered women who have even contributed to the composition of vedas. They enjoyed a very high rank in the society and even participated in the shashtraarth (philosophical debate) of very high spiritual order.
“यत्रनायस्यतुपूज्यन्ते, तत्ररमन्तेदेवा:”

Remained the basic element of the Indian society during that period. Over the years during the medieval age their status remained decaying and they were reduced to the status of a weaker section of the society when India got freedom from the long lived shackles of slavery. Since the mid night tryst with destiny, the independent India has made big strides on the path of development and growth.

With the current 48.4% share of women in the population of the country, India stands on the threshold of a new era where women are to play a big role in the making of the 21st century India as a developed nation. The country’s economic growth calls for an active participation from this ‘half world’ of the nation. The rapid advancement of science and technology and the catapulting of the digital world to a new high has opened up many new vistas for their share in the construction and upliftment of the society for Indian women. The information revolution has made the globe shrink to a village interactively and the knowledge is now just a click away.
